Actual issues of socio-economic development of Aktobe region were discussed at the meeting in Aktobe under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.

About the main indicators of development, solution of important problematic issues, as well as the implementation of new industrial and social projects told the akim of the region Yeraly Tugzhanov.

Minister of Culture and Sport Askhat Oralov, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Mussin, Deputy Ministers of Industry and Infrastructural Development Ilyas Ospanov, Energy Alibek Zhamauov, National Economy Bauyrzhan Omarbekov, Agriculture Yerbol Taszhurekov and Healthcare Vyacheslav Dudnik also made reports on the situation and measures taken in the supervised sectors.

Prime Minister emphasized that currently in the region almost 30% of local and district roads are in unsatisfactory condition. In particular, fair criticism of the population is caused by the condition of the section of the highway of republican importance "Aktobe-Karabutak-Ulgaisyn".

In addition, there are unresolved issues of shared construction in the region. Thus, due to the lack of a systematic approach and forecasting of the situation, every year some districts of the region are flooded in the flood period.

"The above problems require prompt and exhaustive measures," Alikhan Smailov pointed out. 

Prime Minister also drew attention to a number of unresolved social issues. For example, in the region more than 13 thousand children are studying in 101 adapted schools. There are 5 emergency schools, 24 adobe and 13 wooden schools. The deficit of pupil places is more than 17 thousand. As for health care, 64 medical institutions are located in dilapidated and adapted buildings.

"Now the national projects "Comfortable School" and "Modernization of Rural Health Care" aimed at solving these problematic issues are being implemented. Also, funds are attracted from the off-budget fund created at the expense of corruption. In this regard, the Akimat needs to intensify its work and ensure the delivery of new social facilities in due time," Alikhan Smailov emphasized.

As Prime Minister noted, another important aspect of improving the living conditions of local residents is to provide stable employment and increase their wealth. This will be greatly facilitated by the updated Program of increasing the income of the population, taking into account the current realities.

"As part of its implementation, special attention is paid to the creation of jobs in the real sector of the economy within the framework of regional employment maps. First of all, it is necessary to focus on the development of new industries. It is they that should be aimed at producing in-demand products and creating permanent jobs," he said.

This year in Aktobe region at the expense of private investments it is planned to complete 46 projects worth 75 billion tenge with the creation of 1.1 thousand jobs. Another 58 projects are at the stage of development and design.

Head of Government also noted that one of the promising areas for the region is logistics.

"Development of the road network is one of the key elements of the transit potential of the region. This year the reconstruction of the highway "Aktobe-Atyrau-border of the Russian Federation" with a length of 112 km will be completed. It is planned to repair 6 sections of the republican roads with the length of 82 km, including 30 km of the road "Kandyagash-Emba-Shalkar-Irgiz". Akimat together with the relevant ministry needs to complete the work on the initiated projects as soon as possible," Prime Minister emphasized.

During the meeting Alikhan Smailov also dwelt on the issues of stabilization of food prices by saturating the domestic market with domestic goods and implementation of the program "Auyl Amanaty" to increase incomes of villagers through preferential microcrediting.

Summarizing the results, he gave a number of instructions to the central government agencies and the regional Akimat regarding the development of the outskirts of Aktobe, construction of housing for resettlement of residents of emergency houses, construction of buildings of veterinary organizations, etc.
