Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov is on a working trip to the west of the country. The main purpose is to check the progress of fulfillment of the instructions of the Head of State on providing the victims of floods with housing.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the restoration of housing and infrastructure after floods. Ministers of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev, Energy Almassadam Satkaliyev, Deputy Minister of Transport Satzhan Ablaliyev reported on the current situation and ongoing work. Akims of West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Atyrau, Akmola, North Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions were also heard.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov the issue of development of the road industry was considered. The Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev reported on the implementation of projects in the sector.
During the Government session, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan instructed to comprehensively address the issues of road infrastructure development with high quality. In this case, Olzhas Bektenov emphasised the importance of strengthening work to reduce corruption risks in road construction.
