Kazakhstan Introduces Modern Environmental Policy Instruments

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Nysanbayev reported at the Government session on planned measures to implement the provisions of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of environmental regulation.

Prime Minister instructs to use Burabai National Park's smart system experience of early fire detection in other natural parks and reserves

Issues of readiness of relevant agencies and akimats to the fire-dangerous period were considered at the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. Ministers for Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov, Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nysanbayev reported on the situation. Akims of Abay, Pavlodar and Kostanay regions, which in the past were major fires, reported on preventive measures carried out in the regions.

Activity of 31 enterprises suspended for violations of environmental legislation in Kazakhstan

The construction of a new waste dump of Kazphosphate LLP and the enrichment plant of Kazakhmys LLP has been suspended in court, among the major enterprises also Ferum Fluor LLP, Shymkent Temir and others. This was announced at the Government session by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nysanbayev. 

Fish population to grow by 7% by 2030 — Yerlan Nysanbayev

Cultivation of marketable fish in Kazakhstan in the next 7 years is planned to reach 270 thousand tons per year, domestic consumption of products from it to increase to 134 thousand tons. This was announced by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nysanbayev at a press conference at the site of the Central Communications Service.
