Updating of Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2021-2025 discussed in Government

On Friday, December 29, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a regular meeting of the State Commission on modernization of the country's economy. 

Participants discussed the update of the Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2021-2025. In particular, it is proposed to exclude from it more than 20 organizations of communal property.

Among them are housing and utilities facilities, some medical and microfinance organizations. The latter will be used by the state to provide services for soft loans and training of entrepreneurs.

During the meeting also discussed issues of support for the industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including measures to provide domestic manufacturers and exporters with affordable financing. In addition, the issues of support for large businesses in the manufacturing industry were considered.

At the same time, the participants discussed the conditions for the transfer of Qazaq Air to a competitive environment, which is scheduled for 2024.
