Production in pharmaceutical industry of Kazakhstan increased by almost 39%

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the results of the country's socio-economic development and the execution of the republican budget for January-July 2021 were considered. Acting Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbayev and Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev, Acting Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukehyev reported on the development of industry and the energy sector.

According to Uskenbayev, following the results of 7 months of this year. in the manufacturing industry there is a positive trend with a cumulative rate of 105.9%.

The engineering industry is showing steady growth at 22.7%, driven by the production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, machinery and equipment, the production of other vehicles, computers, electronic and optical equipment, electrical equipment, repair and installation.

In non-ferrous metallurgy, the IFO amounted to 98.2%. The seasonal decline is primarily due to the planned reconstruction of the production line at the Kosmuryn mine by Kazakhmys Corporation LLP and the scheduled overhaul at Kazzinc LLP.

At the same time, there is an increase in the production of gold bullion (+12%), cathode copper (+30%) and silver in granules (+1%). The positive dynamics is observed in the ferrous metallurgy.

The production volumes of steel (+25%), cast iron (+17%), reinforcing bars (+11%), carbon steel (+21%), ferrosilicomanganese (+29%) were increased.

“In the pharmaceutical industry, production increased by 38.9% due to increased demand from the population for medicines and medical products. In light industry, growth was 5.4% due to an increase in the production of clothing (+18.7%) and leather products (+7.9%). The increase in demand for disinfectants and mineral fertilizers stimulated the volume of production in the chemical industry,” Uskenbayev said.

The production of building materials amounted to 113.2% due to an increase in the production of thermal insulation materials (1.6 times), Portland cement (+24.7%), gypsum (+43.4%), bricks (2.3 times) and construction solutions (+ 26.3%).

The transport industry is gradually recovering from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. During the reporting period, the IFO amounted to 96.9%.

The positive dynamics remains in transit container transportation in the amount of 625.6 thousand TEU (twenty-foot equivalent), an increase of 37%.

The volume of cargo transportation by all modes of transport amounted to 2 billion tons or 96.8% of the same period of the previous year.

The index of physical volume for construction at the end of 7 months of 2021 amounted to 111.1%. Positive dynamics is observed in all regions.

“In January-July of this year, 7.7 million sq. meters of housing were commissioned, which is 110.3% over the same period in 2020. To date, more than 66,014 dwellings have been commissioned throughout the republic. The increase in the volume of housing commissioning in comparison with last year is noted in all regions. This year it is planned to ensure the construction of 17 million square meters. meters of housing,’’ Uskenbayev informed.

Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev reported on the current state of the fuel and energy complex in January-July 2021.

According to the head of the department, the volume of oil and condensate production for the specified period amounted to 49.8 million tons, 99% to the plan for January-July of this year.

In Tengiz for the specified period, 15.9 million tons of oil were produced, which is 100% to the plan of the reporting month. The indicator of the Karachaganak project is 6.9 million tons, compared to the plan for seven months of this year. this is 95.1%. The backlog of the plan for the reporting month at the Karachaganak project is due to the limited intake of gas at the OGPZ in connection with the repair work.

“The North Caspian project — the volume of oil production at Kashagan is 8.7 million tons, that is, the plan for January-July has been fulfilled by 100%. During the reporting period, 39.3 million tons of oil were exported, the plan for January-July of this year. completed by 100%. During the reporting period, gas was produced in the amount of 31.7 billion cubic meters, which amounted to 98.2% of the plan for seven months of this year. For the reporting period, the indicated indicator is lower due to the fact that during oil production the produced gas is associated gas, i.e. the decline in oil production affected gas production,” Nogayev explained.

The volume of domestic consumption of commercial gas amounted to 10.7 billion cubic meters, this figure was fulfilled by 112.4% against the plan for January-July of this year. The volume of production of liquefied petroleum gas amounted to 1.8 million tons, which is 106.6% to the plan of the reporting period. The volume of gas transit in the reporting period in the country amounted to 44.8 billion cubic meters, reaching 114.1% compared to the plan for seven months.

According to the results of January-July of this year, more than 7.2 million tons of oil products were produced, this figure is 112% compared to the same period in 2020, including:

The indicator for motor gasoline amounted to 2.7 million tons, this figure is 107.3% against the same period in 2020 of the year.

The volume of diesel fuel production amounted to 2.8 million tons, this figure is 109%.

The indicator for aviation fuel amounted to 323 thousand tons, this indicator is 127.7% compared to the same period in 2020.

As for the production of fuel oil, its indicator is 1.4 million tons, which is 125% compared to the same period in 2020

At the same time, during the reporting period, bitumen production reached 556 thousand tons, which is 102.5%.

In general, the volume of petrochemical products amounted to 84.5 thousand tons, i.e. 100% to the plan of the reporting period.

During the reporting period, 66.2 billion kWh of electricity was generated, which is 107.7% of the same period in 2020.

At the end of the second quarter, the volume of electricity generated by renewable energy facilities amounted to 2.03 billion kWh , which is 142% over the same period in 2020.

According to the acting Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev, for January-July 2021, the volume of gross agricultural production increased by 2.4% and amounted to 1,997.3 billion tenge. This growth was mainly due to an increase in livestock production by 3.4%. At the same time, crop products were produced for 296.6 billion tenge, which in real terms is 3.1% less than the level of the corresponding period last year.

As you know, incl. the lack of precipitation in a number of regions was accompanied by high atmospheric temperatures, and the process of low water persists in the southern regions. These circumstances had a negative impact on the yield of winter grain crops.

So, according to the operational data of the regional akimats as of August 1 of this year. the average grain yield was 12.3 c / ha, which is 35% less than the yield on the same date last year.

In the context of regions, the growth rates of gross agricultural output are higher than the republican ones in 6 regions: Akmola, Zhambyl, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan and Karaganda, Kostanay regions.

In animal husbandry, there is an increase in the number of livestock and poultry of all types. Thus, the number of cattle increased by 4.8% and amounted to 9 million heads, sheep and goats — by 2.5%, horses — by 9.4%, birds — by 7.1%.
