At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the country's readiness for the upcoming heating season was reviewed off the agenda. Particular attention was paid to the timely launch of heating at social facilities and the completion of repair work at energy sources and heat supply networks.

“With only a few days left before the heating season begins in certain regions, I instruct the akims to accelerate preparations. First and foremost, heating must be supplied to social facilities—kindergartens, schools, hospitals, and clinics. The heating season must start strictly on schedule. Tomorrow is the deadline for submitting documents to issue readiness certificates to energy enterprises. Akims need to take this matter under their personal control,” the Head of Government emphasized.

Deputy Minister of Energy Kairkhan Tutkyshbayev reported that the heating season has already begun in five regions: Pavlodar, Akmola, North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, and Kostanay. Heat launch is expected in central, western, and eastern regions by the end of this week. Energy sources have accumulated stockpiles of 4.9 million tons of coal and 127,000 tons of fuel oil. A total of 17,000 km of power lines have been fully repaired, and work is nearing completion on four substations. Overall readiness of heating networks stands at 99% (374 km out of 377 km).

In Petropavl, the reconstruction of three heating mains has been completed, with network flushing and pressure testing currently underway. In Stepnogorsk, the heating season kicked off on September 25; internal block networks are ready, and preparations for the main transmission network continue.

The city of Semey remains under special control, where readiness stands at 82%.

Coordination of these efforts has been assigned to First Deputy Prime Minister Nurlybek Nalibayev.
