In the first six months of 2025, Kazakhstan’s mechanical engineering sector demonstrated economic growth of 11.1%. Opportunities for further acceleration and unlocking the sector’s additional potential were the subject of detailed discussion at a meeting of the Economic Growth Task Force chaired by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.

As part of implementing the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Government is carrying out systematic work to strengthen the country’s transit potential. This is a strategically important direction aimed at securing Kazakhstan’s status as a key logistics hub between East and West, as well as towards Central and South Asia.
In Kazakhstan, previously projected tariffs for public utilities have been revised downward. This was announced by the Prime Minister at a government press conference. Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that the decision was made to reduce inflationary pressure and ensure social stability.
