Bakytzhan Sagintayev presents the new minister to the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture

Today, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev presented the new Minister of Agriculture Umirzak Shukeyev to the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

"By the decree of the Head of State, Shukeyev Umirzak Estayevich was appointed Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Agriculture," the Prime Minister said.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev thanked Askar Myrzakhmetov for joint fruitful work and noted his contribution to the development of the country's agriculture.

"The ministry faces very important tasks, including the implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex," the Prime Minister noted, introducing Umirzak Shukeyev. "As the Head of State said in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan, the agrarian sector should become a new driver of the economy. The President instructed to pay special attention to ensuring the growth of processing of agricultural products, productivity, labor productivity and increasing the export opportunities of the industry. The Ministry of Agriculture should strengthen and accelerate the pace of work. The main priority is the production of high-quality and competitive products."
