In the course of ‘Nurly Zhol’ implementation, 602 km of highways to be reconstructed in Kazakhstan in 2017

Today, during the Government meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, implementation process of State Program of Infrastructure Development ‘Nurly Zhol’ for the first half-year of 2017 have been revised.

Minister for Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek reported that this year, the construction of the new passenger terminal of the Astana airport has been completed and the new railway station ‘Nurly Zhol’ has been put into operation. The capacity of the new station is 35 thousand passengers per day, and in conjunction with the operating station, the total figure is 47 thousand passengers per day, which completely covers the need for metropolitan passenger traffic.

This year, the state program also provides for the implementation of 22 road projects with a total length of 4.4 thousand km. Construction work continues on the projects Center-South, Center-East, Beyneu-Aktau, Aktobe-Atyrau, Kapshagai-Taldykorgan, Astana-Petropavlovsk and Uralsk-Kamenka with a total length of 1.2 thousand km. During the first nine months of the year, 177.5 billion tenge was disbursed for the projects being implemented, 75,000 people are involved.

At the end of the year, it is planned to complete the work on 602 km of roadway and open traffic on roads Astana-Pavlodar – 232 km, Beineu-Aktau – 230 km, Bypass Korday – 40 km, Uralsk-Kamenka  - 50 km, Aktobe-Atyrau – 26 km and Kapshagai-Taldykorgan – 24 km.

In the area of ​​modernization of the system of heat, water and sanitation networks for 2017-2018, the National Fund provides 53 billion tenge for the construction and reconstruction of about 1,222.7 km. In general, during the years of the state program implementation, 2,155.8 km of heat, water and wastewater networks, 21 boiler houses and 38 pumping stations were built and reconstructed.

"Under the ‘Nurly Zhol’ state program, 86.9 billion tenge was allocated for the implementation of 119 projects. As of October 1, the development of natural monopolies by entities is 76.9 billion tenge, or 89% of the funds allocated," Zh. Kassymbek concluded.

Minister of Education and Science Yerlan Sagadiyev reported on the implementation of the projects in the framework of the state program "Nurly Zhol" in the sphere of education. The Chairman of the Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund U. Shukeyev also spoke at the meeting of the Government.

Recall, today at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the issue of the implementation of the infrastructure development program "Nurly Zhol" for 2015-2019 is being considered.
