Today in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Kazakhstan Norimasa Shimomura and Director of the Representative Office of the Asian Development Bank in Kazakhstan Giovanni Capannelli.

During the meeting, issues of implementation of tasks to ensure the high level and quality of life of Kazakhstan’s population were considered, taking into account the consonance of the country's program documents and the goals of the UN development. In particular, the introduction of a methodology and the achievement of indicators of sustainable development goals of the country were discussed.

For reference: September 25, 2015 at the UN summit, all UN member states adopted the Agenda for Global Development "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development".

The Agenda contains 17 goals to be achieved by 2030, as well as related 169 targets and 230 indicators. It seeks to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development through the integration of three components: the economic, social and environmental. The Agenda is the benchmark and model of methodological recommendations for creating development strategies by countries and intergovernmental organizations.
