Last week, January 11 in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister chaired the first meeting of the Government in the new year. During the meeting, Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions on the implementation of the President's Address "New Development Opportunities in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution."
In addition, the meeting considered preliminary results of socio-economic development and execution of the republican budget for 2017 and the issues of the Single Prospective Plan for the Development of the Healthcare Infrastructure.
Following the meeting, a briefing for the media was held at the press center of the Government. The Ministers of National Economy, T. Suleimenov, and Finance, B. Sultanov answered the questions of journalists.
Also last week, on behalf of the Head of State, the Prime Minister and the Head of the Presidential Administration held a working visit to Zhambyl region. In the course of an extraordinary session of the maslikhat of the region, B. Sagintayev read a letter from the Head of State with a proposal to appoint A. Myrzakhmetov to the post of akim of the region. After the unanimous support by the deputies of the proposed candidacy, the Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Administration met with the region's activists, where they presented the new akim of the region.
During the meeting held by the Prime Minister in Ukimet Uyi, issues of development of international cooperation were discussed.
January 9, at a meeting with the founding president and CEO of the consulting firm Global Policy Initiatives, Jay Footlik, and vice president of NBC Universal, Rick Smotkin, issues of cooperation with companies to implement projects in film industry were discussed.
