At the end of 5 months of the current year the volume of production in metallurgical industry increased by 8%. In particular, the volume of steel increased by 0.6%.
At the same time, he said, on the results of 5 months of the current year the volume of metal ores rose by 1%.
According to him, for 2015 the volume of production in metallurgical industry increased by more than 14%. As explained by the head of department, the growth is due to the implementation of more than 60 projects in the first five-year plan of industrialization, as well as the transition to a floating exchange rate, which made it possible to increase the competitiveness of Kazakhstan's metallurgical complex.
"There is a significant increase in physical volumes of production, especially in non-ferrous metallurgy. In the steel industry we managed to maintain the current level of production - more than 101%," the Minister explained.
