An Investment Agreement has been signed for the construction of a plant for the production and assembly of modern sanitary ware products in Kyzylorda Region in the amount of over 44 billion tenge. The agreement was signed by Minister of Industry and Construction Ersayin Nagaspayev and Akim of Kyzylorda Region Nurlybek Nalibayev on one side, and General Director of ROKA Kazakhstan LLP, a subsidiary of the Spanish company Roca Group, Daniel Hernandez, on the other.
The project meets the objectives set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to attract investment into the manufacturing industry and increase localization in order to achieve import substitution goals.
The plant will specialize in the production and assembly of ceramic sanitary products, bathroom furniture, and other items. Construction work is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The project provides for the creation of approximately 300 new permanent jobs, as well as training and professional development of Kazakhstani specialists.
The enterprise will become the first production facility in Kazakhstan for sanitary ware products with a high level of process automation and in compliance with global environmental safety standards.
The designed production capacity will amount to 500 thousand units per year. The manufactured products are planned to be supplied to the domestic market of Kazakhstan and exported to the countries of Central Asia.
The launch of the plant will provide an effect in the form of increased production of high value-added products and expansion of the export potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that plans to conclude the Investment Agreement were discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Roca Group Santiago de Gomar Roca in June of this year. Thus, the signing of the document and the start of work are the result of systemic measures to increase the investment attractiveness of the country’s economy and confirm the high level of investor confidence.
During the signing of the document, representatives of Roca Group noted that Kazakhstan is a strategically important market for the company. A positive assessment was given to the favorable business climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For reference: Roca Group is one of the global leaders in the production of sanitary equipment with a history of more than 100 years.
