Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit.
Issues of trade and economic, investment, transport and logistics, and energy cooperation, as well as interaction in the field of digitalization, were discussed. Attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached the day before between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.

“Your official visit reflects the dynamic development of Kazakh-Georgian relations, emphasizing the high level of political dialogue, mutual trust and strong partnership between our countries. Yesterday you held substantive talks with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Kazakhstan views Georgia as a reliable friend and an important strategic partner in the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region. The Government of Kazakhstan is ready to further deepen dialogue and practical cooperation with the Government of Georgia,” Olzhas Bektenov emphasized.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze noted that Kazakhstan is a key partner for Georgia, emphasizing the potential for further expansion of bilateral cooperation.

“Our countries are historically linked by friendly relations, which are a solid foundation for strengthening political and economic ties. Kazakhstan is a very important partner for Georgia, and our relations are of special importance to us. We are glad that strategic partnership has been established between our countries. We closely follow the processes of modernization in Kazakhstan and, of course, count on further expansion of bilateral cooperation in all areas,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
In development of the agreements reached at the highest level, the sides discussed measures to implement joint projects in priority sectors of the economy. Particular emphasis during the discussion of technological partnership was placed on projects in the field of artificial intelligence.
Following the talks, the readiness of the governments of Kazakhstan and Georgia to further strengthen strategic partnership and expand practical interaction in all promising areas was confirmed.
For reference: In 2025, the volume of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and Georgia amounted to $184.5 million, and for January–April of the current year – $53 million. To date, more than 600 companies with Georgian participation are operating in the Kazakh market, and 14 organizations are registered on the platform of the Astana International Financial Centre.
