Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank Group to discuss the development of a new Country Partnership Framework with Kazakhstan for 2026–2031.
This year, construction of key railway lines will be completed, the laying of the Kyzylorda–Aktobe mainline will begin, and the geography of flights will expand with routes to Tokyo and Rome. As part of the implementation of the Head of State’s instructions and the Concept for the Development of the Transport and Logistics Potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan, modernization of Pavlodar Airport is set to begin in Pavlodar Region. The project provides for the reconstruction of the artificial runway, taxiway, and apron.

At a Government session, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiev reported that five areas of digitalization are being implemented in Kazakhstan’s railway industry. The work covers the transition of public services to an electronic format, reengineering of business processes, creation of an innovative ecosystem, provision of passengers with satellite internet, and the introduction of an online transit tracking system.
At a Government session, Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspayev reported on the current state of the railway engineering sector, key projects, and plans for its further modernization.

As part of a working trip to the Zhambyl Region, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov inspected the progress in implementing the Head of State’s instructions on modernizing border checkpoints to further develop the transport and logistics industry.
