Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with President of ExxonMobil Upstream Dan Ammann. Current issues of cooperation and the progress of implementation of joint projects in the oil and gas industry, as well as prospects for expanding investment interaction, were discussed.

Olzhas Bektenov noted ExxonMobil’s contribution to strengthening the potential of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas sector. The Government is interested in strengthening mutually beneficial ties, the successful implementation of ongoing projects and the creation of new opportunities for cooperation.

Dan Ammann presented ExxonMobil’s plans regarding the prospects of its activities in Kazakhstan and confirmed the company’s intention to maintain a long-term presence in the country’s oil and gas industry.

During the meeting, attention was paid to the introduction of modern technologies, improving the efficiency of production processes and the development of geological exploration work.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue joint work on key areas of cooperation.
