Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov familiarised himself with the activities of the largest agricultural enterprise "Yen-Dala", which provides food security of the region and the country.
The partnership is engaged in growing crops and milk production, providing year-round employment for the population. The dairy farm was created with the financial support of the state within the framework of the programme on crediting agro-industrial complex projects. Within the framework of social responsibility "Yen-Dala" LLP builds housing for employees, a kindergarten has been built. Attention is paid to the social sphere and improvement of the village.
Prime Minister emphasised the importance of disseminating and scaling up the experience of such farms to ensure decent life in villages.
"The Head of State in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan instructed to intensify work on the improvement of villages and providing permanent employment for villagers. This task can be solved, first of all, through the intensive development of livestock farming, because unlike seasonal agricultural work, this sector of agro-industrial complex allows to provide year-round employment. We will fully support farms that invest in rural development. There should be more such entrepreneurs, then not only our food security will be ensured, but also the quality of life in the village will improve," Olzhas Bektenov emphasised.
At the same time, taking into account the active development of social infrastructure in villages as well as in large cities, there are issues of providing settlements with reliable sources of electricity. The villagers discussed this topic at a meeting with the Prime Minister. The issue of NPP construction in Kazakhstan was also discussed there. Olzhas Bektenov answered the questions of the residents and emphasised that the development of nuclear energy will affect not only economic growth, but also the stability of tariffs. The cost of electricity generated by nuclear power plants will not be high compared to other energy sources due to the stable price and energy intensity of fuel, as well as the long life of the plant.
"The government sees its task in full and qualitative fulfilment of the President's instructions on the development of social and engineering infrastructure in rural areas. To create new industrial growth points, we must address all issues, including stable power supply. Given that infrastructure expands the economic potential of villages, the creation of additional generators such as nuclear power will be a powerful impetus for further regional development. The country's population is growing, industry is developing, new enterprises and social facilities are being opened. Stability and round-the-clock operation are important for the energy system, and only NPP can provide this," Olzhas Bektenov emphasised.
At the end of the discussion, the agrarians expressed support for the initiatives of the President, voiced in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan, and also noted the first positive results of measures to create year-round employment.
For reference: In Akmola region work on launch of 7 dairy farms is carried out, 2 of which are already working, the rest are planned to be commissioned by the end of this year. Within the framework of these projects, 236 jobs have already been created, and 131 more are planned to be created. Besides, the launch of the farms will allow to increase the production of marketable milk in the region by 40 thousand tonnes or 1.5 times. A total of 100 billion tenge has been allocated from the national budget this year for the implementation of 79 projects within the framework of the programme on crediting projects in the agro-industrial complex based on the experience of the North Kazakhstan region.
