Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with heads of leading foreign companies in the agricultural machinery sector from Europe, Canada, and the USA. The meeting, held in line with the Head of State’s instructions on the development of mechanical engineering and import substitution, focused on deepening industrial cooperation, localizing production, and introducing modern agricultural technologies at domestic enterprises.
As part of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the development of the agro-industrial complex, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved the signing of an Investment Agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and LLP “Asia Altyn Dan” for the construction of a deep grain processing plant in Akmola Region.

Kazakhstan is entering a new stage in the development of its agro-industrial complex. In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, voiced in the Address of 8 September 2025, the Government, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, is introducing a model of a progressive agroeconomy. The main emphases are digitalization, artificial intelligence, and deep processing of products.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State to strengthen budget discipline, the Government is carrying out systematic work to analyze the efficiency of spending funds in key sectors of the economy.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting to review the draft Comprehensive Livestock Development Plan for 2026–2030, developed on the instruction of the Head of State.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and within the framework of the Government’s systematic work, the development of Almaty Region in 2025 was focused on improving public welfare and strengthening the region’s economic potential. A key emphasis was placed on job creation and comprehensive infrastructure modernization, primarily in rural areas, where more than 80% of the region’s population resides.
During the Government session, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov issued a number of instructions following the programmatic interview of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev entitled “Kazakhstan Has Entered a New Stage of Modernization” published in the Turkistan newspaper.
