Serik Zhumangarin introduces export opportunities of domestic railway engineering to Azerbaijan

Ahead of the plenary session in Baku, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin met with Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov.

During the bilateral meeting, the Kazakhstani side presented the capabilities of the domestic heavy engineering industry, offering to supply locomotives and freight cars of its own production. 

"The Azerbaijani market is of great interest for the export of Kazakhstani machined products. Just the other day, a trade and economic mission of Kazakh producers was held which resulted in the signing of contracts for the supply of metallurgical products, foodstuffs and confectionery products totaling $55 million. Our states have great potential to increase cooperation in energy, transport and trade in agricultural products. We are aimed at establishment of mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation on a wide range of issues and are always open for new proposals," Serik Zhumangarin said. 

The parties also discussed joint projects in the fields of energy, communications, transport, agriculture, culture, tourism, and other areas.
