Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin reported on the results of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for January-June 2026 at a Government session.
The new package combines proposals developed during the work of the Project Office and specialized working groups, as well as amendments prepared in execution of the instructions of the Head of State, Government resolutions, instructions of the Prime Minister, and decisions of the Project Office.
The Government held the 100th meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Regulation of Entrepreneurial Activity, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held meetings with the Governor of Kunduz Province Maulavi Nasrullah Mati and the Governor of Herat Province Noor Ahmad Islamjar.
The relevant Memorandum of Intent on cooperation in the field of water resources and irrigation management, as well as the development of sustainable agriculture in the context of climate change, was signed by the Kazakh National University of Water Management and Irrigation, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, and Kabul University.
As part of his official visit to Kabul, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held a meeting with Afghanistan’s Minister of Internal Affairs Sirajuddin Haqqani.
During his working visit to Abay Region, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin met with farmers and entrepreneurs of the region. The main focus was on the development of the agro-industrial complex and livestock farming as one of the key drivers of the region’s economic growth.
Export revenue from Kazakhstan’s oil and fat industry has grown fourfold over four years and reached 963 million US dollars. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin while opening the V International Oil and Fat Conference FOC 2026: Fats and Oils Conference in Astana.
In Astana, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held a meeting with representatives of the business circles of Hong Kong and mainland China.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held talks with John Lee, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, who arrived in Astana leading a large delegation. The parties discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, the development of financial partnership, as well as strengthening transport connectivity between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong.

At the 15th meeting of the Project Office for the Implementation of the Tax Code, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, the next package of issues concerning tax administration and sectoral regulation was reviewed.
