At a Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, veterinary control measures in the livestock sector and the digitalization of the industry were discussed.
Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov delivered a report, and Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiev presented on the ongoing work to digitize the sector.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for high-quality veterinary infrastructure in the regions, along with timely veterinary vaccinations for disease prevention. He highlighted the importance of digitalizing processes to ensure transparency, improve control efficiency, and enhance tracking of livestock production.
“Veterinary safety is a key condition for accessing export markets. At the same time, control must be strengthened over the import of livestock products from abroad. Digitalization must ensure transparency at every stage of the livestock production lifecycle. The results of the National Agricultural Census, currently underway, should be integrated into digital platforms,” Olzhas Bektenov stated.
Following the session, the Prime Minister instructed to ensure full vaccination coverage of farm animals, including those in personal subsidiary farms. Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that all regions must be fully supplied with high-quality and affordable veterinary products, and stressed the importance of supporting domestic producers.
The Ministry of Agriculture, together with regional akimats, was tasked with verifying the database of farm animals by November 1.
The Ministries of Agriculture and Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry were instructed to ensure 100% digitalization of all processes related to the movement of animals and livestock products by the end of the year. They were also directed to implement an end-to-end traceability system and ensure the integration of all databases into a unified digital platform.
