In the Merki district of Zhambyl region, the modern hotel complex KeruenInn was launched. The project was implemented with the assistance of the Investment Headquarters of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which, in accordance with the President’s instruction, has been vested with the authority to promptly resolve investors’ issues and remove administrative barriers. Since the beginning of 2025, 18 meetings have been held, reviewing about 65 investment projects totaling around $70 billion.
The opening of the hotel complex in Zhambyl region is part of the systemic work carried out in line with the strategic tasks set by the Head of State to create modern infrastructure and strengthen the country’s transit potential.
The complex includes more than 30 rooms, a café, a shop, and a pharmacy. For the convenience of travelers, parking for both freight and passenger vehicles, as well as charging stations for electric cars, are provided. The facility has already created 20 jobs for residents of the Merki district.
The project is part of a large-scale investment program under which 60 similar facilities are planned to be built in 14 regions of Kazakhstan by 2029. The hotel complex network will cover the country’s key transport corridors, such as Western Europe – Western China and North–South, as well as be located near border crossing points and priority tourist locations. The total investment will exceed $150 million, creating about 900 permanent jobs.
The Government continues its work on creating favorable conditions for attracting private investment into projects that ensure infrastructure modernization, contribute to the comprehensive development of regions, and enhance transit potential.
