On Wednesday, Aug. 31, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov and Head of Presidential Administration Murat Nurtleu arrived to Turkestan city to participate in a meeting of deputies of maslikhats of all levels of Turkestan region.
The issue of an uninterrupted supply of diesel fuel to all regions of the country is being addressed by a commission specially created by order of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar. It was composed of representatives of responsible state agencies and national companies.
Aug. 27, 2022, Acting Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin met with representatives of domestic sugar mills, industry associations, trade exchanges, traders and consultants to discuss and develop joint decisions on stabilization and growth rate of sugar and other food prices.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov the forecast of social and economic development of Kazakhstan for 2023-2027 and draft laws on formation of the republican budget for 2023-2025 were considered. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov and Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Akylzhan Baimagambetov reported on the subject.
During the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, held on Aug. 25-26 in Cholpon-Ata, the Prime Ministers of the EEU member states discussed the formation of a common alcohol market within the Eurasian Economic Union. The document aims to eliminate barriers that individual EEU member states set for imports from other EEU member states.
Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin met at a business breakfast with CIS and EAEU professional youth representatives as part of the First Youth Forum of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Eurasian Economic Union.
At the regular Government session chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, the issue of sugar industry development was discussed. The Acting Minister of Agriculture Abulkhair Tamabek reported on the current situation in Kazakhstan with the supply of sugar and what is being done to solve problems with the supply in the future.
A number of instructions on the sugar industry development for the coming years was given by the Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov at the Government session.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov took part in the meeting of the enlarged Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on Friday, Aug. 26.
