Olzhas Bektenov Attends Astana Mining & Metallurgy 2026: Government Implements President’s Instructions on Development of High Value-Added Products in the Mining and Metallurgical Complex
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov took part in the 16th International Mining and Metallurgy Congress Astana Mining & Metallurgy – AMM 2026. The congress was attended by more than 1,500 delegates from 16 countries, including Belgium, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the USA, France, Sweden, and South Korea.
«The rapid development of artificial intelligence is already influencing people’s worldview and behavior, especially among the youth. There is no alternative, as this process is fundamentally transforming the world order and the way of life of all humankind. We must be prepared for this. Decisive action is required; any delay may lead to the most serious consequences. Therefore, I have set a strategically important task to transform Kazakhstan into a fully digital country within three years».
