Nursultan Nazarbayev was greeted at the square in front of the Kazakh Eli monument by representatives of the ethnocultural centers of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, who demonstrated their folk traditions, dances and songs. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.
In his welcoming speech, the President of Kazakhstan congratulated all compatriots and those present on the state holiday.
«I congratulate everyone on our common holiday — the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan. Thanks to the unity we built an independent state. Our unity is praised by all ethnic groups, from all over the world they come to us to learn how to build a multinational state,» Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The Head of State noted that the impressive achievements of our country became possible due to the unity and friendship of the multinational people of Kazakhstan.
«Thanks to the unity, we assumed the responsibility to be among the 30 developed countries and improve the lives of our people. Thanks to the unity of our people, I announced the Five Social Presidential Initiatives aimed at creating favorable living conditions for every Kazakhstani,» Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan once again congratulated all those present on the occasion and wished a beautiful future for the younger generations, as well as happiness, prosperity and well-being for every Kazakh family.

As part of the festive concert, the theatrical performance "Ruhani Zhangyru — Birlik pen Tutastyq Negizi!" was shown with the participation of creative teams of the capital's national and cultural associations, artists of the state academic philharmonic society of Astana and the stars of the national stage.
