Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov discussed with Zhao Tingyun, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Singaporean company XINFA GROUP, the progress of preparatory works for the construction of an industrial park in Pavlodar Region.
Currently, Kazakhstan is implementing an investment policy aimed at economic diversification and support for the manufacturing industry, on the instruction of the President. During the meeting, attention was paid to the current status of the project implementation.
Zhao Tingyun noted that a land plot has been determined so far, and the company has engaged a design institute for the construction of the park.
The Head of Government of Kazakhstan instructed state bodies to provide maximum assistance in implementing the large-scale investment project with a total investment volume of $15 billion. The project will have a multiplier effect on the development of the region and the country as a whole.
The concept for creating a full-cycle industrial park provides for the establishment of highly integrated production with deep processing of bauxite into aluminum. The planned capacity of enterprises for alumina production is 4.8 million tons per year, and for electrolytic aluminum — 2.4 million tons. The volume of deep processing will amount to 1.2 million tons annually. The implementation of the project will provide jobs for 10 thousand people. Construction of production facilities will begin this year. The launch of the first stage is scheduled for 2028, and reaching full design capacity is in 2029.
