Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held an operative meeting on execution of the Head of State's instructions on taking urgent measures to ensure the security of key military and civilian facilities in connection with the situation around Ukraine with the leadership of the Ministries for Defence, Interior Situations, Emergency Situations, Foreign Affairs, Health, Transport, Energy, Industry and Construction, National Economy, Finance.
Ministry for Emergency Situations is carrying out a set of measures to ensure fire safety in the country. Minister Chingis Arinov reported on this at the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

Akims of Abay, Pavlodar and Kostanay regions, which in the past were major fires, reported on preventive measures carried out in the regions.
On the current flood situation in the regions and measures to protect settlements from flooding told the Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations Bauyrzhan Syzdykov at the Government session of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reports of Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations Bauyrzhan Syzdykov, akims of western regions, as well as North Kazakhstan region on flood control measures were heard.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev held a meeting on preparation for the fire-dangerous period with the participation of Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nysanbayev and Minister for Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov inspected work on strengthening dams in Petropavlovsk, designed to protect the city and neighbouring settlements from floods in case of overflow of the Yesil River.
The flood situation in Karaganda region was inspected by Deputy Prime Minister – Deputy Head of the Republican Headquarters for coordination of flood control measures and elimination of consequences of the flood period Kanat Bozumbayev and Minister for Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov.
The main task of the Headquarters is to coordinate activities to carry out flood control measures and ensure the safety of citizens.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov heard a report of the Minister for Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov in the Crisis Management Centre of the Ministry for Emergency Situations. In the videoconference mode were connected territorial emergency departments.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov arrived on a working visit to North Kazakhstan region to familiarise himself with the progress of execution of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Within the framework of the programme he will visit objects of communal and energy sector and road infrastructure, as well as a number of enterprises of light and processing industry, including agricultural machinery.
