Prime Minister Askar Mamin: It is necessary to intensify economic interaction of Turkic speaking states

Prime Minister Askar Mamin held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of initiatives proposed by the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev on structural reforms of Turkic cooperation organizations, the creation of a Turkic integration fund and a joint investment fund of the council.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Turkic states in the economic sphere were discussed, including investment cooperation, development of transport and logistics, the potential for creating joint ventures, improving competitiveness and the export potential of the member states.

“Within the Turkic Council, it is necessary to intensify work on the economic agenda for interaction between Turkic states,” said Mamin, stressing the great cooperation potential in the fields of engineering, tourism, agriculture, light industry, as well as the development of the economy of simple things.

Baghdad Amreyev, in turn, informed about the meeting of the Council’s Heads of Customs Services, which was held in Astana in March 2019. In general, the issues of interaction of the customs services of the сouncil, compliance and implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the customs services of the member states were considered.
