In the regions of Kazakhstan, the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, aimed at developing industry, modernizing infrastructure and improving the quality of life of citizens, continues. Over the past week, new production facilities were launched in several regions, the modernization of a highway of national importance was completed, and residential buildings were put into operation. In addition, sports infrastructure was expanded and public spaces were improved.

Industry and processing

In the Jetisu region, in the village of Ekpindi of the Alakol district, an enterprise for the production of vegetable oil with a capacity of up to 1.8 thousand tons per month was launched. The project of "New Silver Central Asia Grain & Oil" LLP provides for the processing of agricultural raw materials from local producers. The volume of investments exceeded 61 million tenge, permanent jobs were created. The new production will make it possible to expand the processing of oilseeds and provide an additional market for local farmers.

In the Almaty region, in the village of M. Tuimebayev of the Ilisky district, the Baqyt fish farming enterprise with a design capacity of up to 400 tons of fish per year was opened. The volume of investments amounted to 500 million tenge. The farm is engaged in growing fish in special cages, as well as manufacturing mesh structures and components for fish farming. The enterprise has already produced more than 100 tons of fish, in the future it is planned to increase the volume of output to 400 tons per year. Products are supplied to farms in six regions of Kazakhstan. Expansion of production and an increase in the number of jobs from 15 to 45–50 are envisaged.

In the Abay region, in Semey, the production of special footwear of the "Technoavia – Kazakhstan" company was launched. A new direction was opened on the basis of an existing production complex, where special and corporate clothing has been produced since 2023. The capacity of garment production is 160 thousand items per year, about 85% of products are exported. More than 30 jobs were created at the new shoe factory. The company also opened a branded retail store and signed memorandums of cooperation with six major enterprises in the region.

Transport infrastructure

In the East Kazakhstan region, the modernization of a 13-kilometer section of the highway of national importance "Oskemen – Altai – Ulken Naryn – Katon-Karagai – Rakhman Springs" (437–450 km) was completed. The project was implemented in 2025–2026. A new asphalt pavement was laid on the updated section, 17 drainage gutters and three culverts were built, and road safety elements were equipped. Modernization will increase the transport accessibility of settlements in the Katon-Karagai district and improve communication with tourist facilities in East Kazakhstan.

Housing construction and housing provision

In Kyzylorda, on the left bank of the Syr Darya River, apartment buildings with 168 apartments with a total area of 12 thousand sq. m were put into operation. Keys were handed over to citizens who were on the waiting list for housing. Over the past four years, more than 7.5 thousand apartments have been provided to waitlisted citizens in the region, thanks to which more than 30 thousand people have improved their living conditions. By the end of 2026, it is planned to put into operation about 2 thousand more apartments.

In the West Kazakhstan region, 72 families received new apartments in the village of Zhympity in the Syrym district. For citizens whose sole housing was recognized as dilapidated, two three-story residential buildings were built. By the end of the year, it is planned to provide housing for half of the citizens of this category on the relevant waiting list in the region.

In Shymkent, apartment keys were handed over to another 30 families in the Bozaryq, Aqjaiyq and Asar-2 microdistricts. The recipients were participants in preferential housing programs "2-10-20" and "5-10-20", including large families, citizens with disabilities, single-parent families and employees of public sector organizations.

Sports infrastructure and landscaping

In the Jetisu region, in the village of Qabanbai of the Alakol district, a sports complex with an area of more than 2 thousand m2 was opened. The facility includes four specialized halls for game sports, boxing, wrestling and general physical training. 80 children will be able to practice here at the same time, and in total it is planned to cover about 300 teenagers with sports activities. Since the formation of the region, 40 new sports facilities have been put into operation in the region, including seven in the Alakol district.

In the Turkistan region, in the village of Zhuantobe of the Sozak district, a new sports complex was opened. The building is equipped with halls for boxing and wrestling, a gym, a medical room and rooms for coaches. Construction of the facility began in May 2026 and was carried out at the expense of regional and district budgets.
