In 2025, Kazakhstan’s transport sector continued its systematic development aimed at strengthening the country’s transit and logistics potential, modernizing infrastructure, and improving transport efficiency. These areas were implemented in line with the instructions of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, delivered on 28 January 2025 at an expanded meeting of the Government, comprehensive efforts are underway to ensure the systemic development of the electric power sector and transition to a new level of infrastructure reliability.
Kazakhstan is entering a new stage in the development of its agro-industrial complex. In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, voiced in the Address of 8 September 2025, the Government, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, is introducing a model of a progressive agroeconomy. The main emphases are digitalization, artificial intelligence, and deep processing of products.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the development of manufacturing industry, economic diversification, and attraction of investment, steady growth of key sectors was ensured in 2025.
The Government continues systematic work to implement the course set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. One of the key mechanisms of national transformation has been the implementation of initiatives announced by the Head of State during four sessions of the National Kurultai. A legislative framework has been established for their practical implementation, with 26 laws adopted.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and within the framework of the Government’s systematic work, the development of Almaty Region in 2025 was focused on improving public welfare and strengthening the region’s economic potential. A key emphasis was placed on job creation and comprehensive infrastructure modernization, primarily in rural areas, where more than 80% of the region’s population resides.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the modernization of transport infrastructure and the development of the country’s transit potential, a comprehensive set of measures is being implemented aimed at improving the efficiency of the logistics system, enhancing regional transport connectivity, and creating conditions for sustainable economic growth.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, outlined in the Address “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Tasks and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation,” Kazakhstan continues active work on developing its education system and training qualified personnel. The Government focuses on increasing accessibility and quality of education at all levels — from preschool to higher education and science.
As part of the directives of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set out in the Address to the Nation “A Just Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, and Public Optimism,” the Government, through the Ministry of Health, continues its work to improve the quality of medical care, develop infrastructure, strengthen human resources, and advance the digitalization of the healthcare system.
