At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the issue of developing cross-border hubs was considered. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the development of aviation hubs and the automobile road sector within the framework of the instructions of the Head of State. Kazakhstan is launching a large-scale mechanism for developing the real sector of the economy — the state programme “Investment Order.” The main purpose of the programme is to support projects of small, medium, and large businesses engaged in the production of goods that are most in demand on the domestic market and have a high share of imports.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting of the Council for the Development of the City of Alatau with the participation of the leadership of government bodies, experts, and urbanists. Attention was given to the implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State on creating an international center for business activity, innovation, and technology.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, during a meeting of the Senate, commented on a question from Deputy Sultanbek Makezhanov regarding the optimization of budget expenditures.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, in response to questions from a Senate deputy, emphasized that borrowings should be attracted mainly for commercially attractive and cost-effective projects which, during operation, make it possible to service the debts attracted for construction by generating revenues to the budget.
At a session of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Senate deputy Sultambek Makezhanov asked Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov questions regarding the measures taken by the Government to optimize and prioritize budget expenditures.
At the session of the Government chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the draft Joint Action Program of the Government, the National Bank and the ARFRM on macroeconomic stabilization and improving the well-being of the population for 2026–2028 was considered. Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin reported on the key areas of the new document.
