Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with President of Finland Alexander Stubb, who arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. Attention was paid to trade, economic and investment cooperation, interaction in industry, energy, digital, transport and logistics, and water sectors, as well as in the financial sphere and agriculture.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev reported on the ongoing work to digitalize the electric power industry at a Government session.
Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Akkenzhenov reported at the Government session on the ongoing work to modernize the energy infrastructure.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the issue of the development and digitalization of the electric power industry was considered.
On behalf of the Head of State, in honor of Republic Day, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov presented state awards to veterans of labor, employees of the railway, mining and metallurgical, and energy industries, as well as representatives of medicine, education, science, and public service.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov took part in the International Forum dedicated to the Day of Social Protection System Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan and, on the eve of the professional holiday, presented state awards on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to representatives of the social and labor sector.
A meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin was held in the Government, where the draft of the new structure of the Baiterek holding was reviewed.
Speaking at the plenary session of the Mazhilis on the draft law “On the Republican Budget for 2026–2028,” Minister of Finance Madi Takieyv noted that the document was prepared in accordance with the Budget Code and based on the forecast of socio-economic development until 2030.
At a plenary session of the Mazhilis, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin submitted to the deputies the Forecast of the country’s socio-economic development for 2026–2028.
Answering a question from a deputy at the plenary session of the Mazhilis about the reduction of dividends to the state budget from national companies, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov stated that national companies are directing large sums to the implementation of major investment and social projects in the regions, and as far as the transparency of spending is concerned, that point is now ensured by the current legislation.
