The main events of the week from May 4 to 10, 2020

  • At the government session on Tuesday, the flooding of settlements in the Maktaaral district of the Turkistan region and the implementation of the Employment Roadmap were considered. The head of government instructed all state bodies to ensure the achievement of the planned indicators on employment.
  • Prime Minister Askar Mamin introduced the new minister, Aida Balayeva, to the staff of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • Askar Mamin held meetings on supporting various sectors of the economy.
  • On May 5, the prime minister of Kazakhstan paid a working visit to the Karaganda region, where he checked the progress in implementing the State Program for Industrial and Innovative Development, Nurly Zhol, Nurly Zher and the Employment Roadmap.
  • On May 10, Prime Minister Askar Mamin paid a working visit to the Maktaaral district of the Turkistan region, where he met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
  • The heads of government inspected the flooded territories of the Maktaaral district, and also visited the villages of Nurlyzhol, Orgebas and Firdausi of the Zhanazhol rural district, where they got acquainted with the ongoing work to eliminate the consequences of the flood.
  • In the administrative center of Maktaaral district – Myrzakent village – the prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan familiarized themselves with the plan for the construction of a new microdistrict, met with local residents and took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the first residential buildings.
