Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva reported at the Government session on the measures being taken to implement the instructions of the Head of State announced at the V meeting of the National Kurultai.
The Government continues systematic work to implement the course set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. One of the key mechanisms of national transformation has been the implementation of initiatives announced by the Head of State during four sessions of the National Kurultai. A legislative framework has been established for their practical implementation, with 26 laws adopted.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov chaired a meeting of the National Headquarters for coordinating the activities of state bodies in preventing drug addiction and combating drug-related crime.
In Petropavlovsk, the first scientific and cultural hub in Kazakhstan, “Mağjan Ortalyğy”, dedicated to the great poet, philosopher, and educator Magzhan Zhumabayev, has opened.
In accordance with the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to develop tourism as one of the key drivers of the economy and to strengthen national identity, large-scale projects for the preservation of historical and cultural heritage and the development of international cooperation are being implemented in the North Kazakhstan Region.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov at the Government session, where the issues of preservation and promotion of cultural heritage under the auspices of UNESCO were considered, noted the visiting cards of Kazakhstan, which should be made centres of tourist attraction.
Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Zhaslan Madiyev reported on the ongoing work on digitalisation of the culture and arts sector at the Government session.
In 2025, Kazakhstan will continue to actively work on the formation of a new eco-culture aimed at improving the environment and involving society in environmental initiatives.
In Moscow, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov took part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The event was held at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, where members of the delegations were also presented engineering projects and scientific developments of students of CIS countries studying in Russian universities.
Museum-reserve "Aziret Sultan" from now on will be under state protection. The corresponding decree was signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov.
The results of the school year and measures to organize recreation, leisure and employment of children during the summer vacations were considered at the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.
