In Shymkent, the heads of government of EAEU member states and observer countries visited the exhibition of digital projects of the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 forum, held on the sidelines of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
As part of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the bodies of the EAEU, an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held in Shymkent. A wide range of issues related to the development of Eurasian integration were considered, including industrial cooperation, technological development, customs regulation, economic resilience, digital transformation, consumer protection, and others.

As part of the Presidential initiative “Taza Qazaqstan,” Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov took part in activities to clean and improve the “Ak-Ata” spring in the village of Akbulak in the Sairam district of the Turkestan region.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov inspected the progress of construction of a power plant based on a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) unit with a capacity of 1,000 MW in the Turkestan region. The project, implemented поручению of the Head of State, is aimed at ensuring the reliable functioning of the national power grid.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit, held bilateral talks. Issues of trade and economic and investment cooperation, implementation of projects in industry and energy, transport, as well as interaction in the field of ecology were discussed.
In the city of Boao, Hainan Province, on the sidelines of the 25th Annual Conference of the Boao Forum for Asia, a meeting was held between First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev given during the V meeting of the National Kurultai, the Government has approved the National Project “Development of Coal-Fired Generation.” The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
On behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov presented state awards to citizens who made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the country, as well as to strengthening the rule of law and public order.
