At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, issues of developing the country’s tourism potential were considered. Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov reported that the contribution of tourism to the economy reached 5 trillion tenge, and more than 600 thousand people are currently employed in the industry.
Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the Government held a session to consider issues of tourism industry development.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov inspected the implementation of the President’s instructions on industrial development, infrastructure strengthening, and deepening processing in the agro-industrial complex during a working trip around Astana. He visited a logistics center, a medical products manufacturing plant, and enterprises producing bakery, dairy, and meat products.
During his working visit to North Kazakhstan Region, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov familiarized himself with the activities of the Special Economic Zone Qyzyljar, where large investment projects are being implemented in the fields of food industry, mechanical engineering, and deep raw material processing in line with the tasks set by the Head of State on economic diversification and localization of production.
Export revenue from Kazakhstan’s oil and fat industry has grown fourfold over four years and reached 963 million US dollars. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin while opening the V International Oil and Fat Conference FOC 2026: Fats and Oils Conference in Astana.

During the trip, socio-economic development indicators were analyzed and tasks for the upcoming period were defined.
