Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State given at the expanded session of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on February 10 of this year.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with the participation of full members of the National Academy of Sciences, the leadership of government bodies, akims of several regions, and representatives of the business community on issues of science, implementation of scientific projects, and the involvement of the potential of the National Academy of Sciences in the development of various sectors of the economy.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State to strengthen budget discipline, the Government is carrying out systematic work to analyze the efficiency of spending funds in key sectors of the economy.

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, issues related to the development of the social sector in the Karaganda region were reviewed in Karaganda. The discussion was attended by representatives of relevant social sector ministries, as well as the Akim of the region, Yermaganbet Bulekpayev.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on reforming the system of state financing for private educational and medical organizations as part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State given in the programmatic interview “Kazakhstan Has Entered a New Stage of Modernization.”
At the Government session, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek reported on the work being carried out to scale up the digitalization of the education system.
As part of the implementation of the Head of State’s instructions, the Government, through the Ministry of Education, is working to form a sustainable education system. Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shynar Akparova spoke about the key initiatives and innovations planned for 2026.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov chaired a meeting of the Interagency Commission on Crime Prevention. The agenda covered safety measures during the holiday period, implementation of the provisions of updated sectoral legislation, as well as the results achieved under the President’s “Law and Order” concept and the action plan for 2026.
