Azamat Yeskarayev

He was born in 1979 in Almaty.

He graduated from the Kazakh State Law Academy.

He started his career in 2000 as a leading specialist of the Department of Legislation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2000 to 2005, he worked in the Ministry of Justice as a chief specialist, deputy chief of the Department of expertise and preparation of drafts of by-laws department, head of the department of expertise of by-laws, head of the Legislation Department, head of the Department of by-laws.

From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a chief inspector of Akim of Almaty.

From 2006 to 2007, he was the chief manager of the Legal Service Department of Sustainable Development Fund "Kazyna" JSC.

From 2007 to 2012, he worked in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan in various positions: legal adviser, leading specialist of Internal Administration Department, assistant minister, director of Analysis and Strategic Planning Department, director of Legislation Department.

From 2012 to 2014, he was the Head of the Organizational and Control Department of the Inspection Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Economic and Corruption Crimes of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2014 to 2019, he served as Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2019 to January 2023, he was Head of the Legal Department of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On Jan. 4, 2023, by Presidential Decree he was appointed Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

April 4, 2023, by the Decree of the President, he was reappointed Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On February 6, 2024 he was appointed Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan by Decree of the Head of State.
