Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, at an expanded meeting of the Government chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reported on the work being carried out to develop the infrastructure of special economic zones and industrial zones, address energy shortages, develop industry, and attract investment.
At the expanded meeting of the Government chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reported on the work being carried out to ensure sustainable economic development.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on entrepreneurship development with representatives of the oil and gas and energy sectors, the mining and metallurgical industry, the agro-industrial complex, members of relevant associations, and experts from all regions at the platform of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov chaired a meeting of the Monitoring Center overseeing the implementation of the President’s “Taza Qazaqstan” initiative. The meeting addressed the use of digital technologies in environmental protection and the formation of environmental culture among the population.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with the participation of full members of the National Academy of Sciences, the leadership of government bodies, akims of several regions, and representatives of the business community on issues of science, implementation of scientific projects, and the involvement of the potential of the National Academy of Sciences in the development of various sectors of the economy.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on explaining the draft new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the population. Members of the Government and akims of the regions took part in the meeting.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, during a working trip to the Pavlodar Region, inspected the implementation of the President’s instructions aimed at strengthening energy security, developing coal-fired generation, and commissioning new capacities to meet the growing needs of the economy and the population. Special attention was paid to the reliability of life-support facilities and the introduction of digital solutions in the energy and coal-mining sectors.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held an interim meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting addressed issues of investor support and the joint development in Kazakhstan of next-generation high-tech production with wide application of artificial intelligence and digital solutions.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of the President’s instruction to launch a new investment cycle and increase the volume of high-quality investment. The meeting was attended by Prosecutor General Berik Assylov, members of the Government, ministers and regional akims, as well as the management of Samruk-Kazyna, Baiterek, KAZAKH INVEST, and the Atameken.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the “Children of Kazakhstan” Concept was reviewed. Reports were delivered by Minister of Education Zhuldyz Suleimenova, Minister of Healthcare Akmaral Alnazarova, and Minister of Internal Affairs Yerlan Sadenov.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the issue of tourism development was reviewed in line with the tasks set by the Head of State.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil Peter Larden to discuss cooperation in the oil and gas sector. A number of issues related to the joint projects Tengiz, Kashagan, and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium were discussed.
As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State to strengthen budget discipline, the Government is carrying out systematic work to analyze the efficiency of spending funds in key sectors of the economy.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the development of fiscal policy and the digitalization of the information systems of the Ministry of Finance as part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Heads of relevant agencies and regional departments of state revenues took part in the meeting.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov familiarized himself with the digital infrastructure of the E-Finance Center (EFC) and the ongoing work to explain the tax reform to the population and business within the framework of the tasks set by the President in the Address to the People and at the National Kurultai.
