Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov chaired a meeting of the Economic Policy Council. The meeting reviewed ongoing efforts to ensure economic growth and improve public welfare in line with the instructions of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov chaired a meeting of the Interagency Commission on Crime Prevention. The agenda covered safety measures during the holiday period, implementation of the provisions of updated sectoral legislation, as well as the results achieved under the President’s “Law and Order” concept and the action plan for 2026.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a series of meetings on the development of investment cooperation within the framework of the tasks set by the Head of State. In particular, meetings were held with Chairman of the Board of the Association “Kazakhstan Foreign Investors’ Council” (KFIC) Erlan Dosymbekov, Managing Director of Alstom Kazakhstan Jérôme Boyer, and Chief Executive Officer of Polpharma Santo (JSC “Khimpharm”) Adam Aleksiejuk.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, comprehensive measures to support private entrepreneurship were reviewed. Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin reported on the new architecture of financial assistance for businesses and the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State.
At the Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the unified small business support program “Isker aimaq” was reviewed and approved. Reports were delivered by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, Minister of Finance Madi Takiyev, as well as representatives of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the Union of Accountants.
On the instruction of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov presented state awards to Kazakhstani athletes who took part in the XXV Summer Deaflympic Games held in Tokyo (Japan).
Meetings on the development of the city’s social sector were held in Almaty under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva.
A meeting of the Council on the Transition to a Green Economy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. Participants included the leadership of the ministries of ecology and natural resources and energy, the akims of Pavlodar Region and the city of Almaty, heads of major energy companies, and representatives of the expert community.
